I got my braces today...well, some of them!

I had spacers put in and the brackets stuck to my teeth.

I think it looks ugly and hideous, but I'll deal!

It all went fine at the orthodontists, but later at work, I felt as if I was having a mini-panic attack as my mouth felt EXTREMELY claustrophobic with all the metal in it, and the spacers were making me feel as if my teeth would explode right out of my head!

I hope it all settles soon. Just gonna concentrate on other stuff til I get used to it. Luckily I belong to a Orthognathic Surgery email group and lots of the members responded to my email about how sh*tty I felt saying the first day with spacers and braces suck and that it gets better.

I didn't want to take a picture but _tubularlove encouraged me to take a smiley thumbs up picture, and when she says jump I say "How high Miss C?!"

Soooo.......

Next time I go back, I have to choose what colour O-rings to get on my braces...!

yay for braces! you look adorable mira! at first they are extremely uncomfortable, i guess it takes a while getting used to...but then you won't even notice they are there. :)

I felt the same way after getting braces..your mouth feels crammed with metal! But it gets better and you get used to it.
